Yes. BuddyOnRent is strictly for adults 18 years and older. Both customers and buddies must confirm their age during registration. We do not allow minors on the platform under any circumstance.

Scheduled booking — Open any buddy's profile, choose a date and time, add notes about what you'd like, and submit. Your request stays in the app until the buddy accepts or declines. Best for planned outings.

Live booking (coming soon) — When enabled, you can broadcast a request with your offer, meet timing, and search radius. Nearby buddies who are online respond in real-time. You compare offers, confirm one buddy, and coordinate in live chat — perfect for same-day plans.

Browse buddy profiles, open the one you like, and tap Send Request. Choose your occasion category, preferred date and time, location, and add a short note. Keep it respectful and specific. The buddy will review and respond from their dashboard.

Yes — you can cancel a pending request at any time before the buddy accepts. Once accepted, cancellations should be communicated directly and respectfully. We encourage at least 24 hours notice for accepted bookings as a community courtesy.

Live booking will be enabled by our Chandigarh team once we have enough buddies online to make same-day matching reliable. We are actively building toward this. You will see it appear in the app when it's ready — no action needed on your part.

Yes. Every buddy profile is admin-reviewed before it appears publicly. Our team checks photos, bio content, and category selections for compliance with community guidelines. Buddies who complete optional government ID verification receive a badge on their profile for extra trust.

Yes, always. First meetups must take place in a public venue — a café, cinema lobby, park, restaurant, or event entrance. This is a non-negotiable house rule and a condition of using the platform for both customers and buddies.

Both customers and buddies have reporting tools in the app. If something feels off before, during, or after a meetup, use the report button on the profile or booking. Our team reviews all reports promptly. You can also contact us directly for urgent situations.

Yes. We follow standard data protection practices and do not share your personal information with third parties. Your phone number and private details are only shared with the specific buddy you've confirmed a booking with. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.

Apply through the buddy registration page. The process has four steps:

• Create your account and fill in your profile with photos, bio, categories, and hourly rate.
• Submit optional ID verification documents for the verified badge.
• Our admin team reviews your application — this takes 24–72 hours.
• Once approved, your profile goes live and you start receiving booking requests.

Absolutely. You have full control over which requests you accept or decline. There is no obligation to accept any request. You can also set your availability calendar so customers only see you when you're actually open to bookings.

You set your own rate in your profile. Most buddies on the platform are currently charging between ₹1,200–₹1,500 per hour. You can adjust your rate any time. We recommend being competitive to get your first few bookings and reviews.

Payment is settled in cash directly between the customer and buddy after the outing, as described in the booking. There is no online payment gateway currently. Both parties agree on the rate and duration when confirming the booking — no surprises.

Not in the current beta. Buddies keep 100% of their agreed rate with zero platform deductions right now. This model will be reviewed as the platform grows. Any changes to commission structure will be communicated well in advance.

Current buddies typically charge ₹1,200–₹1,500 per hour. Rates vary by companion type, experience, and occasion. You'll see each buddy's hourly rate clearly displayed on their profile before you send a request.
