BuddyOnRent does not charge registration fees and does not take any commission from buddies right now. This is intentional for the beta period — we want to grow the community and build trust before introducing any platform economics.
Buddy pricing is shown on the profile and booking screen. After a successful meeting, the customer pays the buddy directly in cash. No apps, no wallets, no transfers.
The platform now tracks cash payment confirmation in the system, while still keeping the actual settlement offline for this phase. Both parties confirm the payment was completed from within the app.
Each buddy sets their own hourly rate on their profile. Rates vary by companion type, experience level, and occasion. You'll see the rate clearly displayed before sending any request.

Browsing and joining BuddyOnRent is completely free for customers. You are only charged by the buddy you book — directly, in cash, at the agreed rate, after the outing.
- You will never be charged by the platform itself
- The agreed rate and duration must be confirmed before the booking is accepted
- Pay only for the time you actually spent — at the agreed rate
- Confirm payment in the app after completing the outing
- If a buddy asks for payment upfront or outside the agreed terms, report it immediately
Tip: always carry enough cash on the day of your outing. ATMs near popular meetup spots (Elante, Sector 17, Sukhna Lake) are widely available.
Buddies keep 100% of their agreed rate with no platform deductions during the current beta. Set your own rate, manage your own availability, and get paid directly in cash after every outing.
Zero commission right now. Whatever the customer pays you — you keep all of it. This will be clearly communicated in advance before any commission structure is introduced.
- Set your hourly rate on your profile — we recommend ₹1,200–₹1,500 to start
- You may accept or decline any booking request freely
- Confirm you received payment in the app after each completed outing
- Build your reviews to justify higher rates as your reputation grows
- If a customer refuses to pay, report it immediately via the platform
Payment disputes are rare but do happen. Here's how to handle them:
- Both parties should agree on the rate and duration before the outing — written in the booking notes
- If a customer refuses to pay or pays less than agreed, the buddy should report this immediately
- If a buddy attempts to charge more than the agreed rate, the customer should report it
- Our team will review all payment disputes and may suspend accounts where bad faith is found
Do not attempt to resolve payment disputes aggressively or in person. Always use the in-app report feature or contact us directly.
The current cash-only, zero-commission model is a beta phase decision. As BuddyOnRent grows, we plan to introduce:
- Online payment options — UPI, wallet integrations, or card payments
- Platform commission — a small percentage to sustain operations and fund features
- Subscription or premium tiers — optional upgrades for buddies wanting more visibility
Any changes to the payment model will be communicated to all registered users at least 30 days in advance via email and in-app notification. No surprises.
